The Center for Integrated Health Science Education and Practice (CIHSEP) Welcomes You!

The Center for Integrated Health Science Education and Practice (CIHSEP) is a collaborative partnership of education, industry, and community that was created to transform health care education and delivery across the state of Minnesota.

The initial structure of the Center includes the Executive Alliance, which includes the CEO of the partner organizations along with state and national leaders in healthcare; a Design Team, which is charged with the project development and alignment, and the facilitation of the Project Actualization Teams; and the Project Actualization Teams, which hold the responsibility for the individual initiatives. Sue Klaseus (SKlaseus@winona.edu) is serving as the Executive Director of CIHSEP.

CIHSEP Announces the RFP for Phase III of CIHSEP Projects

Due date for RFP responses will be Monday, April 30, 2007 by 4:30 pm

CIHSEP FY 08 RFP guidelines and grant selection criteria

Submit your FY 08 project proposal to CIHSEP. You will need to register with a user name and password to create an account.

Instructions to assist you submitting your project RFP response. It is recommended for you to draft your response in a word document prior to submitting the RFP. This will save you any problems of losing your work if you get timed out. Lean in Service Organizations: Healthcare and Higher Education Conference
July 23-26 in Rochester, Minnesota

The Center for Integrated Health Science Education and Practice and Winona State University's Outreach and Continuing Education Department are sponsoring the Lean in Service Organizations: Healthcare and Higher Education Conference July 23-26, 2007 at the Kahler Grand Hotel, Rochester, Minn.

K-12 Health Science Partnership sponsors 2007 Staff Development Day
May 30, 2007 in Rochester, Minnesota

The Center for Integrated Health Science Education and Practice K-12 Health Science Partnership will sponsor the 2007 Staff Development Day for K-12 Health Science Teachers, Counselors, Curriculum Directors and Administrators from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 30, 2007, Health Science Career Center, Rochester, Minn.

The Staff Development Day will present participants with information on the importance of healthcare awareness and curriculum, include presentations from Sue Klaseus, Executive Director for CIHSEP, Guy Finne from Mayo Clinic, Marge Kuethe from Workforce Development, Inc. and others.

K-12 Health Science Partnership has extended its deadline for the Staff Development Day to May 25, 2007. Space is limited to 60 people. Registration will be available in the near future.

K-12 Health Science Partnership sponsors 2007 Health Career Day Camp for students
June 19-21, 2007 in Rochester, Minnesota

The Center for Integrated Health Science Education and Practice K-12 Health Science Partnership will also sponsor the 2007 Health Career Day Camp for current 6th, 7th and 8th grade students from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 19-21, 2007. The three-day program will present students the opportunity to explore a variety of health careers by providing hands-on activities, field trips, information on careers, access to healthcare professionals and scrubs for each student.

Deadline for registration is May 31, 2007 or until filled. Space is limited to 40 students. Registration will be available soon.
