The purpose of this SIA award was to research and develop a pilot proposal to enhance the connections between Career Services and the College of Business, hence enhancing the students' educational experiences. Work involved a literature review. a review of WSU career services statistics, telephone interviews with representatives at other institutions, and a survey of College of Business faculty.

The report recommended assigning a full-time counselor to the College of Business. The counselor would offer career development programs and one-on-one and group counseling. S/he could make class presentations and assist in internship development. In conjunction with the addition of the counselor, a four-year career career development plan would be integrated in appropriate classes. Assessment would be part of the counselor's responsibilities.
