Testing Services at WSU

	This initiative assessed the need for a testing center on campus. An extensive review of web sites was conducted; visits were made to nearby universities with testing centers; various testing agencies were contacted; and numerous individuals on campus were interviewed. Current testing services on campus are highly decentralized. Among the shortcomings discovered were inability to offer the College Level Examination Program (CLEP) test or GRE test on campus, departments having to rely on volunteer proctors, insufficient staff and computer stations to meet testing needs, and no make-up exam services. The final report recommends creating a centralized source of information about testing services available and beginning to offer limited testing services through Tutoring Services.
