What's popping up with student
research - grants and presentations?

WSU encourages faculty-sponsored undergraduate research and creative projects and the presentation of the results of such projects upon invitation to national, regional and local conferences.  Internal grants are available to support these undergraduate activities.  See Regulation 3-22 for the WSU Grant Policy for Undergraduate Student Research and Creative Projects and Regulation 3-25 for the WSU Grant Policy for Travel Support for Undergraduate Student Research and Creative Presentations.

Student Grants - FY2007

On April 11, 2007, 63 students participated in the First Annual Student-Faculty Research Celebration Symposium.  The event showcased "scholarly or artistic activities that enhance learning and teaching through the process of inquiry or creativity."  A new advisory committee on Engaged Research, Teaching and Service has been established to carry on the symposia and encourage expanding activities.   The second annual symposium has been scheduled for April 16, 2008.
