Sustainability

The Learning Community on sustainability was initiated by Drs. Reuter and Borsari at the beginning of the Spring semester 2006. We organized the first meeting to recruit participants and explore their level/desire to contribute to the effort of making WSU more sustainable. The direction that has been taken so far addresses primarily seminars, educational programs and curriculum.

The latter should develop into a prairie restoration project with the students enrolled in Borsari's section of Biology 104 next August, on the west campus. A sustainability website has been constructed to serve as a communication vehicle and attract more enthusiasts to join.
