Department Level Assessment Plans
Winona State University
Department Assessment Plan Format
Goals should be related to both the mission of the department and the mission of the university
Processes / Activities The chances of achieving a goal or having a positive impact on an indicator are slim unless specific activities or processes related to the goal can be identified.
The question becomes: What are we currently doing to help achieve this goal?
This will be the place you look to make changes if you're not happy with what you've learned from the data that you've collected and analyzed.
Measures There are a number of characteristics of good measures. See Evaluating Measures page. It is important to consider a collection of different types of measures -- for example: objective, subjective, and behavioral measures.
Indicators. The measures, taken together, provide an INDICATOR of the degree of success to which a goal is being achieved. (Measure + Measure + Measure = Indicator).
