Assessment Expectations

During your junior year, you may be asked to complete a writing assessment. We believe that one of the most important skills that employers and graduate schools will demand of you is the ability to write well. This writing assessment will help us determine if our students are meeting acceptable writing standards for college graduates.

Twice during your juinor year we will ask you to log on the Assessment WWW page and complete a series of suveys. This data will allow us to assess every area of the university and discover your ideas for making it better.

Also during your junior year, you may begin participating in departmental major assessment, if you haven't already. Your major department may schedule time for you to participate in an interview, focus group, or survey. All of these activities will be designed to help your professors determine if they are meeting your needs as a major.
