Senior Year During your final year at Winona State, your assessment activities will be centered in your department and major. Your academic department may design an assessment tool that will help determine how well prepared you are to enter the world of work or graduate school. Department major assessment could include requiring you to take a standardized graduate school examination, a content based examination that the department creates, give a performance or recital, present your research , conduct a study, or develop a portfolio. The senior assessment project may be the most obvious proof that you can take away from Winona State University that you have successfully prepared for your discipline.
Twice during your senior year we will ask you to log on the Assessment WWW page and complete a series of suveys -- this time the surveys will focus on the quality of instruction in your major, your feelings about your major curriculum, and a self assessment of your skill development. This data will be given back to your home department so they can use your feedback to improve the program.
