Finding a part-time job as a student or full-time job after graduation can be overwhelming and intimidating. But Career Services is available to help you through the process. Here are some frequently asked questions about Career Services, what we offer, and how we can help you.

Call Career Services in Winona at 507.457.5878 or stop in at 314 Maxwell and request an appointment be set up. For the Rochester campus, call 800.366.5418 or stop in at Student Services 125.
Don't worry. We can help! Start by following the easy steps outlined in the Deciding Your Major process  If you want assistance along the way, set up a meeting with an advisor and we will help you find a major well suited to you.
Yes, Winona State University also offers student-help positions that are available to all WSU students.  In these positions, you will earn a regular paycheck like you would at any other job.

On campus positions are posted on our Warrior Jobs system.  Your username is your WSU email address, for first-time log-in simply select "Forgot my password". After you login and personalize your account you'll want to:

  1. Upload your resume to use for applications (go to "My Account" - "My Documents")
  2. Go to "Job Search" and under Position Type select all types that apply to your search (i.e. Student Help or Work-Study)
  3. Select the green "Search" button
Our Warrior Jobs online job search system allows you to search for those types of positions as well.  You will also be able to search for employer information and contacts. We have several books in our resource library providing many state and national internship opportunities. Career Services can increase your chance of obtaining those types of positions through resume and cover letter critiques and with assistance on enhancing your interviewing skills.
Career Services has a webpage that provides career development resources (print materials) and information on resumes, cover letters, interviews, jobs and internship search techniques, essay writing and more!  Career Services also regularly posts information about upcoming events and career tips on its Facebook fan page.  Students are encouraged to comment on the site.
