Research Interests
Dr. Jeanne Franz, Professor of Chemistry
I am interested in the environmental chemistry of bodies of water. Current and past projects have included: 1) The effect of different water quality parameters on the rate of pesticide degradation, 2) Assessment of fertilizers on the effectiveness of wastewater treatment plant efficiency, and 3) Suspended solids in Peterson Lake, an engineered backwater lake. E-mail me if you are interested in doing an independent study project with me jfranz@winona.edu.
Some students and their research projects from 2010-2011:
