3-7 Policies
and Procedures for the Use of Human Subjects in Research -- Applies to all students, faculty and staff conducting research involving human subjects. Projects must be approved by the WSU
Institutional Review Board (IRB) before being initiated.
3-32 Assurance of Compliance (IACUC) -- Applies to all students, faculty and
staff conducting research or teaching projects involving animals. Projects must be
approved by the WSU Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) before being
initiated.
3-28 Conflicts of Significant Financial Interests Policy as Related to Grants and Sponsored
Research Projects -- Applies to all grant proposals submitted to the National
Institutes of Health (NIH) and the National Science Foundation (NSF). Applicants must
submit a Disclosure Statement to the WSU Grants Office (in addition to the Transmittal
Form required in Regulation 2-8: WSU Guidelines and Policies Related to Grants) prior to
submission of a grant proposal.
3-27 Policies and Procedures for Dealing with Allegations of Research Misconduct --
Applies to the conduct of all scientific research on campus.

project and, hence, requires submission of a Transmittal Form for Grants and
Sponsored Projects.
