• Registration  March 24 6:00pm to 7:00pm at the Intramural Office
• Registration will last until leagues are filled a complete roster
and a $40 forfeit fee check must be turned in.

RULES

1. A team is composed of 10 players. A team may play with 7 players. If a team has more than 10 players all players may bat, but only 10 are allowed in the field at one time.

2. PLAYER

A. NO metal or plastic spikes are allowed.
B. Only captains may spea with the unpire.
C. All players must fill out roster forms and present a valid WSU ID upon request.
D. Any player ejected from a game will not participate in their team's next game.
E. Players may play on only one team.
F. No drinking allowed by any player during the game on the field, in the dugout, or in the stands. Any player in violation of this rule will be ejected for the remainder of the game.
G. Teams will furnish their own bats.
H. NO VARSITY OR JUNIOR VARSITY BASEBALL OR SOFTBALL PLAYERS ARE ALLOWED ON INTRAMURAL SOFTBALL TEAMS!

3. TIME

A. Ten run rule after 5 innings.
B. No inning will be started after 5 minutes to the hour. If the game is tied at the end of this inning then it will go into the standings as a pie.
C. A forfeit will be called if the game has not begun by 10 minutes after the schedule start.
D. The umpire's watch will be the official time.

4. GENERAL RULES

A. When the pitcher secures possession of the ball on or around the pitching area, the runner must either continue on to the next base or return to the last base occupied.
B. A pictched ball must arc at least 6 feet with a 12 foot limit. Any ball that does not arc is an automatic ball UNLESS the batter swings at the ball.
C. NO BUNTING! The batter must have a full swing. The batter is out if he/she attempts to bunt.
D. A mat will be placed behind home plate. Any ball striking the mat or home plate will be called a strike. Each batter will have only 3 balls and 2 strikes. On a fouled second strike the batter is out.
E. On an overthrow out of play the runners and batter will advance two bases from the start of play.
F. Substitution will be openly allowed.
G. Runners may not leave the base until the batter has started his swing at the pitch.
H. Runners must slide into the base when a play is being made on them. If they attempt to knock the ball loose, they will be out. If the attempt is flagrant, they will be ejected from the game.
I. Fielders may not fake a tag on a runner to get them to slide. IF they do, the runner will advance to the next base.
J. Any pitched ball that strikes the black part of the plate will be considered a strike.
K. Home teams will be determined by a flip of a coin.
