Minnesota Southeast Technical College Prairie Plantings
Brief description of site and highlights of site (habitat, flora, fauna): Prairie Moon Nursery has been helping start a prairie planting at MSTC.  Plan to have your lunch while at MSTC.  Rest or walk to explore the prairie plantings, according to your desire.  A printed guide will be available for the prairie plantings.
Walking distance, rigor, potential hazards: On campus, as you like.
Area of site (approximate acreage): ~10 acres
Duration of field trip: ~ 1 hour
Access for charter bus loading/unloading/parking: Yes
Availability of drinking water, rest rooms, shade: Yes
General location (direction/distance from nearest town): At the intersection of HWY 61 and HWY 43, take HWY 43 South (also Homer Road).  Continue straight on Homer Road for  ~300 feet beyond where HWY 43 branches off on the right.  Minnesota State College Southeast Technical Campus will be your next left turn.
