Extension Courses
WSU offers a variety of on-campus and off-campus learning experiences. These courses may be undergraduate or graduate classes, and may be an excellent choice for those seeking personal enrichment as well as those who wish to pursue a degree program. Credit offerings may also be developed that provide specialized learning experiences to schools, industries, agencies and other interested groups. Instruction for extension courses includes regularly scheduled evening, weekend and daytime classes taught by WSU faculty; specially scheduled workshops and seminars; educational travel opportunities; and credit options for major workshops and/or conferences scheduled by outside agencies.
You are not required to have gained admission to WSU for undergraduate credit before enrolling in an extension class. You may enroll by filling out an extension registration form and attending the class. Graduate students must complete a graduate special application form as well as a course registration form. Extension courses are considered regular Winona State credit courses and can be applied toward appropriate degree programs.
