Certificate Program


Training & Development Certificate

Winona State University has developed a certificate program in training and development (T & D) to help people increase their knowledge and competencies in planning, implementing, and evaluating their workplace education programs.  The T & D certificate will offer professionals from any discipline the opportunity to develop and update their skills to build a high performance workplace through lifelong learning opportunities.  Workforce training is the key to economic development in today's business world. 

The T & D certificate program consists of the following 15 semester hours.  Classes are available evenings.

  • BUED 410/510 Administrative Communication (3 s.h.)
  • BUED 440/540 Training & Employee Development (3 s.h.)
  • BUED 441/541 Training Techniques & Media (3 s.h.)
  • EDUC 442/542 The Adult Learner (3 s.h.)
  • BUED 470/570 Seminars in Training & Development (3 s.h.)

The certificate may be completed with graduate or undergraduate credits
