The Non-Matriculated Undergraduate Student Program lets adults who are not seeking a degree take undergraduate classes on campus without going through the formal admission procedure. To participate in the program, the applicant must be a high school graduate (and be out of high school for at least one year) and/or have five years work experience. A maximum of 6 credits can be taken per semester, and a maximum of 12 credits can be transferred to a degree program. The program opens the University’s doors to persons in the community desiring courses for general interest, professional enhancement, or personal enrichment.

a. $20 one-time only enrollment fee (non-refundable)
b. Regular tuition and fee rate
c. Maximum 6 credits per semester
d. Maximum 12 credits to be applied toward a degree program
e. High school graduate and / or five years of work experience.
f. Cannot be a non-matriculated student if presently pursuing a WSU degree
g. Does not qualify for financial aid
Procedures:

Complete enrollment form and pay one-time $20 fee. (One week prior to final registration). This should be returned to OCED, Somsen 106, Winona State University, PO Box 5838, Winona, MN 55987. Eligible non-residents should file for reciprocity.

Receive packet of registration information from OCED.

Register for classes at the designated time during registration.

Any WSU student who has not attended WSU for one semester or more (summer excluded) must file an Intent to Return form (available at the Registrar's Office - Maxwell 209).

The student is responsible for viewing available classes on-line, obtaining a catalog, and for knowing general university policies.
