WSU Summer Escape: Policies and Regulations
APPLICATION & ADVANCE PAYMENT—In order to reserve an apartment, please fill out the included Summer Escape application (1 per person/couple), the WSU Learning Club Application and submit a $200 non-refundable advance payment (checks can be made out to Winona State University) by March 1. The remaining balance of the rental period is due at the time of check in. Applications and checks can be sent to:

CHANGES TO LEASE PERIOD—A 30-day advance written notice of arrival/departure changes is required to prevent being charged for the dates requested on the housing application. No change of dates will be permitted once guests arrive.
CANCELLATIONS—Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to the WSU Camp & Conference Coordinator. A resident granted approval for cancellation will forfeit their advance payment.
REFUND POLICY—Advance payments will only be refunded for emergency medical reasons of either leaseholder. All medical reasons must be substantiated in writing by a medical physician as soon as possible but no less than 30 days prior to arrival. This must be submitted with a cancellation request.
PERSONAL PROPERTY INSURANCE—Guests are encouraged to carry their own personal property insurance. WSU assumes no responsibility for theft of, or loss of, personal property of any resident or guest from private rooms/apartments, storage areas and public areas. All thefts should be reported to WSU Campus Security immediately.
SMOKING—Smoking is not permitted in any building. All smoking must be done at least 25 feet from any building and/or entryway.
ALCOHOL—Possession and/or consumption of alcohol or alcohol containers is strictly prohibited on any WSU-owned or –controlled property.
PETS—Pets are not allowed in any housing facility. The only exception is fish in a bowl or up to a 10-gallon aquarium.
