Trip Leaders
Dr. Tamara Berg graduated from Indiana University with a PhD in English Literature and a PhD minor in Women’s and Gender Studies. She has taught at WSU for 9 years, and she has presented and published on service learning and women’s and gender studies issues. In her current faculty position, she directs the Women’s and Gender Studies Program at WSU. She has led service-learning trips to St. Criox in 2004 and 2005, and she is teaching a service-learning course spring 2005 that includes an alterative spring break trip to New Orleans where students will participate in the hurricane relief effort. Dr. Cindy Killion graduated from the University of Oregon School of Journalism and Communication with a PhD in Communication and Society. She has taught at WSU for 13 years in Mass Communication but also has taught several courses in the Women's and Gender Studies Program including Introduction to Women's Studies; Power, Privilege and Gender; the Field Experience; and Women, Minorities and Media Topics course.
