ITINERARY AND PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The following are some examples of possible program content:
  • Meet and work with grassroots women's organizations working to achieve social justice
  • Meet and work with human rights organizations working on the just treatment of women and men in the legal system
  • Meet and work with human rights organizations working on the just treatment of children in the educational system
  • Meet and work with social service agencies serving homeless adults and children
  • Explore women's and men’s positions and roles in the Cruzan social structure
  • Visit correctional and rehabilitation systems
  • Discuss the role of the justice system in civil society
  • Work with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife service to foster and preserve an environment for leatherback sea turtle nesting
  • Study sustainable, ecologically sound agricultural practices and principles in a tropical climate using a hands-on approach and includes field laboratories and lectures as well as field trips
