Travel Study programs are designed to encourage students to engage in critical thinking, experience first-hand the value systems and diverse lifestyles of other cultures, and participate in meaningful service learning projects. Oftentimes interdisciplinary, these programs enhance student global and cultural awareness through constant engagement and reflection.

Each Travel Study program is a WSU course taught by WSU faculty. By utilizing the unique characteristics of a location to enhance learning opportunities for students, a Travel Study program can help students achieve a well-rounded education. Most programs satisfy a university studies requirement and/or count towards a particular major.
