Parking Violation Examples
The following are some examples of parking violations:
- Parking in a University lot without a valid parking permit or with a permit that is improperly displayed.
- Parking in any area marked with yellow paint.
- Parking in any area marked by a restrictive sign.
- Parking in any designated loading area.
- Parking in any reserved space without authorization.
- Parking on or over any sidewalk.
- Parking blocking any driveway.
- Parking on any unpaved or grass surface.
- Parking in a manner that restricts the ability to exit a building.
- Parking outside of a designated parking stall.
- Parking in violation of any Minnesota State Statute.
- Parking in a manner preventing another vehicle from entering or leaving a valid parking space.
- Parking overnight in a lot designated "no overnight parking".
- Parking in time-limited stall over the time allowed.
- Use of stolen/fraudulent/lost/altered/revoked parking permits.
- Parking in an area marked with snow removal hours.
- Parking in yellow zone by fire hydrant.
- Parking in a fire lane.
- Parking in a lot with wrong permit.
As indicated, these are only examples of parking violations.
