Mission Statement
The office of Administrative Affairs is dedicated to providing an environment that encourages individual and professional growth, that welcomes diversity and that develops the different skills and talents of its individuals and utilizes those skills in an effective and synergistic manner.
Administrative Affairs strives to improve the quality of the campus community, as well as the communities of Winona and Rochester and the surrounding regions. This will be done by providing the University administration with information and advice as it considers decisions regarding the allocation of University resources and develops both a rationale and justification for operating and capital budget requests.
It is a goal of the department to disseminate timely data to campus constituencies regarding budget trends, expenditure patterns and comparative costs within the University, as well as with agencies external to the institution.
The office will fulfill these all of these goals through the continuing efficient use of funds, facilities and human resources. The office will also implement the seven principles for good practice in undergraduate education throughout this process.
On a larger scale, the office is dedicated to working proactively with the other administrative functions of the university and the surrounding region in order to bring a greater good to the world around us.
"A community of learners dedicated to improving our world."
