Appeal Process for Denial of Admission

If you wish to appeal denial of admission, submit a packet that includes the following:

•    A personal statement of no more than 2 pages, written by the student applicant, explaining factors that affected the student's high school performance or test scores, why WSU is of interest, an explanation of college or career goals, and/or any evidence of college readiness

•    At least 2 letters of recommendation from high school academic teachers and/or guidance counselor, attesting to the student's ability to succeed in a university setting

•    The student's most recent high school grades since the official transcript was sent, or other evidence to support the appeal request.

The admissions appeals committee will review cases as they become complete and submit a recommendation to the Director of Admissions. The appeals process can take about four weeks.  Please contact an admissions counselor if you have questions.
