Nancy S. Dumke

Nancy S. Dumke is the Coordinator of the Disability Resource Center at WSU. The Disability Resource Center is part of the Advising and Retention Office. Nancy started working as an academic advisor and program coordinator in 1989. She has worked with students with disabilities since 1993. “College students are my favorite people. Each student has so much potential and the ability to positively impact our world.”
Her position as Coordinator includes meeting with prospective and current students, evaluating medical and psychological documentation, managing the budget, learning federal legal regulations, advising students, presenting workshops, attending conferences, and acting as a liaison with other campus offices.
She grew up in Willmar, Minnesota and earned her Bachelors Degree from St. Olaf College. While working as an Assistant Director of Admissions there, Nancy pursued her Masters Degree in Administration at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana. She enjoys traveling, reading, walking, and gardening. Nancy is married and has two daughters who are both in college. “I love my job.
