Winona State Prospective Transfer Student Checklist

• Gather general information about Winona State including, the application, major/minor, housing, financial aid & laptop information.

• Check transferability of courses at www.minnesotacas.org or www.mntransfer.org

• Schedule a campus visit, and/or meet with a transfer counselor.  Schedule a tour on-line and view tour times and days at www.winona.edu/admissions  or call 800-342-5978 ext 5100. 

• Apply to Winona State by filling out a paper or on-line application

          Application requirements include:

              ____ A signature on the application

              ____ $20 application fee

              ____ Official transcripts from each school attended (if a student has less than 24 credits, send the high     

                       school transcript and ACT scores)

              ____ If applicable, contact the International office for assistance

• If needed, contact the financial aid and/or housing office for information.

• Contact academic department, view their web site or look in the on-line catalog for information and requirements for major.

• Contact special interest groups/department that may be of interest: including – Theatre, Music, Art, Cultural Diversity and/or Athletics.
