The purpose of the office of Institutional Research is to provide information for university, community, and to external constituents through collecting data, analysis, interpretation, and dissemination of the statistical information about Winona State University. Additionally, the office also provides research projects on educational and administrative issues. This information is used by members of the University community for:

  1. Academic program review
  2. Administrative decision-making and policy review
  3. Mandated reporting
  4. Institutional planning and effectiveness

The office also serves to guide process improvement including process mapping, data review, focus groups and gap/solution analysis. Student internships are provided to gain hands-on experience in the systematic approach to improvement.

If you are in need of data for program review or a general overview of students, visit the WSU Report Index.

For ad-hoc data requests contact us. Most ad-hoc requests are responded to within 2 days.

Comments or suggestions about the Institutional Research can be directed to Theresa Waterbury, Director of Institutional Research.
