The purpose of the office of Institutional Research is to provide information for university, community, and to external constituents through collecting data, analysis, interpretation, and dissemination of the statistical information about Winona State University.
Additionally, the office also provides research projects on educational and administrative issues.
This information is used by members of the University community for:
- Academic program review
- Administrative decision-making and policy review
- Mandated reporting
- Institutional planning and effectiveness
The office also serves to guide process improvement including process mapping, data review, focus groups and gap/solution analysis.
Student internships are provided to gain hands-on experience in the systematic approach to improvement.
