All graduating senior art majors will be included in the all-senior show held in the Paul Watkins Gallery in November and April.
All graduating seniors who participated in the Junior Review may compete to exhibit in the SELECT SENIOR SHOWS held at the end of each semester.
The faculty will decide which students are to be included in the SELECT SENIOR SHOWS for the following semester. The sole criterion for inclusion is superior achievement, as demonstrated by studio work. If you feel you qualify (if unsure, consult with your instructors), submit examples of your work as follows:
Present for review no more than six pieces that reflect primary interests and strengths; that is, work you have completed in one or both of your sequences, or in Graphic Design classes. For the purposes of this review, the faculty is more concerned with your personal directions and (depth) as evident in your examples, rather than in breadth or range.
Show your most recent work. You may show Junior review examples if necessary. Remember that the work you present for review now is not necessarily what you will be expected to show in the April exhibition (though you do have that option). It is assumed and desirable that you complete additional work in time for the show.
You may supplement your examples with slides (10-15) of additional work, keeping the above criteria in mind. Graphic Design students may prefer to show slides.
Details as to submission of work, etc., will be posted about one month prior to each review. If you have questions, see the Chair of the Art Department.
