Teaches Sculpture, Ceramics, and 3-D Design. She also currently serves as the Gallery Director, and teaches one of the Senior Seminar sections. Prof. Plummer earned her BFA in Ceramics from the Rhode Island School of Design and her MFA in Ceramic Sculpture from Claremont Graduate University, studying with Paul Soldner. She resided in Los Angles for ten years before moving to Winona. "Through my ceramic sculpture and life drawing, I have explored the figure for twenty five years. My sculptures are abstract in form: one recent series of figures is wheel thrown, another series is comprised of slip-cast elements that are then assembled. Right now I am working on a group of embracing couples, sculpted in a Cubist style, inspired in part by the work of Jacques Lipshitz." |
