SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION FORM FOR ENTERING STUDENTS
Art Department
Winona State University

To be Eligible for an Art Department Scholarship, the Applicant Must:
Meet WSU entrance requirements and be admitted with a major in Art.

Upon entering WSU, the Recipient of an Award Must:
1.        Enroll for a minimum of 12 credit hours each semester with at least one course in Art.
2.        Maintain a minimum 2.50 grade point average for the BA degree and 2.75 for the BS (teaching degree).

The Application Must Include this completed information form, As well as;
1.      A portfolio of work, consisting of 10-12 examples (at least). You may submit these in any of the following ways:
         • Slides inserted into plastic slide sheets. Please label slides with your name, and the medium used in the example.
         • Images on a CD: JPEG, GIF, or TIFF.
         • By email attachment to MLange@winona.edu.
         • Actual work delivered in person to the Art Department (phone ahead, 507 457-5395).
2.      A statement briefly outlining your background and interests in art.
3.      A letter of recommendation from one of your art instructors, sent directly to the address below.
4.      An unofficial (student copy) of your transcript.

Finalists may be asked to submit additional material.

This form must be completed by February 23 of the calendar year of proposed entry, and forwarded by email to Mary Lange.
