Athletic Training/Medical Arrangements
The following information outlines the athletic training services that will be provided for athletic events hosted by Winona State University along with other important medical information. If you have any questions or concerns or are in need of alternative services, please notify the Athletic Training Staff as soon as possible.
Athletic Training Room services will be provided in 140 Memorial Hall before and after each contest. The Athletic Training Room will be open and available for all pre-event treatments and taping one to two hours prior to the start of the contest (for exact times please contact the Athletic Training Staff prior to you arrival). The Athletic Training Room will also be open after any contests for any post game treatments for approximately 30 minutes after the completion of the event. If you require the Athletic Training Room to be open at times outside the above listed times, please let the Athletic Training staff know and every effort will be made to accommodate your request.
The following is a list of modalities available in the Athletic Training Facility:
*Ice, Ice cups, Cyrocuffs, Versa-Cool
*Hydroculator
*Whirlpools
NOTE: If you require the use of a cold or hot whirlpool please let us
know in advance so the whirlpool(s) can be filled prior to your arrival
*Ultrasound
*Electrical Stimulation Units with the following currents:
-IFC
-Pre-modulated Current
-High Volt
-Russian
-Bi-Phasic
-TENS
*Light Therapy
A Certified member of the Athletic Training Staff will be available at all home contests (exception: during golf/tennis events ATC will be on call). WSU Athletic Training Staff members will have a cell phone available in case of any medical emergency. The following items will be made available on the sidelines during this event.
*Water
*Cups
*Ice Bags
*Ice Cups
*Biohazard Bag (Upon Request)
*Vacuum Splints/Spine Board (Home Sidelines)
*Crutches (Home Sidelines)
