Warriors Preseason All-America Selections

TUCSON, AZ -- A pair of Winona State University players have received preseason All-America honors from the American Baseball Coaches NCAA Division II All-American Baseball Committee.

Named for the Warriors were, senior, outfielder, Mike Wendland and, senior, pitcher, Bryan Ruff. Both were selections to last year's ABCA All-Central Region team.

Wendland hit .381 for WSU with four home runs, two triples, 14 doubles and 30 runs batted in.

Ruff compiled a 3-4 record with a 1.98 earned run average in 59 innings. He finished with 75 strikeouts and only 18 walks.
