Warriors No. 2 Preseason Pick

ST. PAUL, MN -- The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference baseball coaches came out with their 2008 preseason poll and tabbed Winona State University to come in second.

The Warriors received three of the nine first-place votes for 75 points, three points behind the No. 1 pick Wayne State College, NE, which came up with six first-place votes.

The Warriors placed second in last year's NSIC race, went on to win the league tournament and advanced on the NCAA Division II Central Region Tournament.

The Warriors' also had, senior, pitcher, Bryan Ruff selected as the NSIC Preseason Pitcher of the Year. Senior, outfielder, Mike Wendland was named as a player to watch in the NSIC.
