Warriors Fall Twice To Wayne State, NE

WAYNE, NE -- Winona State University lost a pair of games, 9-3 and 11-5, to Wayne State College, NE in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference action.
In Game One the Warriors tied the game 2-2 in the top of the second inning, but WSC came back to built a 5-3 lead and never trailed again.
Brent Maxwell had two of the Warriors' six hits.
In the nightcap, the Warriors jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the top of the first before Wayne State rallied for a 3-2 lead with a run in the last of the first and two runs in the bottom of the second. WSU did tie the game at 3-3 with a run in the third only to have WSC break open the game with four runs in the last of the fifth.
Kyle Collins collected three hits and drove in two runs to lead the Warriors.
