BOARDMAN, OH -- Former Winona State University football standout, John Tackmann, was named US Army Ironman of the Week for the Arena Football 2 League for the week of April 1, 2008. Tackmann, listed as a wide receiver/linebacker, played Jack Linebacker and saw some action at quarterback for the Mahoning Valley Thunder in the season opener.
