Tackmann Receives Honor From AFCA

WACO, TX -- Senior linebacker John Tackmann has been named to the American Football Coaches Association All-America team.

Tackmann was the only Warrior to make the team, but it he was the third WSU player to make the team in the past five seasons. Wide receiver Chris Samp was the last player to make the team (2004), while, running back/return specialist, Kevin Curtin is the only WSU player to make the team twice -- 2002 and 2003.

This is the first postseason All-America team Tackmann has been named to. He received preseason All-America status from three organizations.
