Warriors Selected To Place Second

ST. PAUL, MN -- Winona State University has been selected to place second in the up coming battle for the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference football race, according to the 2007 NSIC Preseason Coaches Poll.
The Warriors compiled two first-place votes and 82 points in placing second to defending champion Bemidji State University, which totaled seven first-place votes and 88 points.
The University f Mary garnered the other first-place vote and 72 points to place third in the poll.
Winona State finished 7-1 in 2006 league play and 9-3 overall after losing in the first round of the NCAA Division II playoffs.
WSU will kick off its season on August 25 when the Warriors will host the Huskies from Michigan Technological University.
