WSU Names Jason Eck Offensive Line Coach

Story by: Winona State Sports Information Office

WINONA, MN -- Winona State University head coach Tom Sawyer has announced the hiring of Jason Eck as the Warriors' offensive line coach.

Eck comes to WSU by way of the University of Idaho where he was the tight end coach and recruiting coordinator in 2006 and offensive line coach from 2004-2005.

Eck received his B.S. in Psychology in 1999 and his M.S. in Business in 2001 from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. While earning his degrees at UW-Madison, Eck played for the Badger football teams that won a Big Ten Conference championship in 1998 and the Rose Bowl championship in 1999. Eck also earned Big Ten All-Academic honors in 1998 and was an Athletic Board Scholar.

After completing his athletic eligibility with the Badgers, Eck was offensive line graduate assistant for the Badgers, who won the Big Ten title in 1999 and the Rose Bowl crown in 2000, from 1999-2001. Eck's coaching career then advanced on to the University of Colorado where he was a graduate assistant offensive line coach from 2002-2003.

Eck and his wife Kimberly have two children: Quentin 4 and Jaxton 2.
