Warriors Place Five On Region Team

WINONA, MN -- Winona State University had five players placed on the Don Hansen's Football Gazette All-Northwest Region Team.

The Warriors had three players on the first team, led by, senior, cornerback, Shawn Cunningham, who was a repeat first-team election. Joining Cunningham was, senior, running back, Alex Wiese and, senior, wide receiver, Scott Peters.

For a second straight year, offensive tackle Nick Urban was named to the second-team, and he was joined by, junior, tight end, Todd Burkoth.

All first-team selections have now been placed on an All-America ballot.
