WSU Tied For 5th In WIAC and NGCA Region Meet

Alexandra Nugent LA CROSSE, WI -- Winona State University finished in a tie for fifth place in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference/NCGA Regional Championships held at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.

The Warriors compiled a team total of 177.675.

Alexandra Nugent led the Warriors by finishing fourth in the all-around with a 36.900 total. Nugent tied for fifth on the balance beam with a 9.350, which equaled her career best score in the event. She also tied for eighth on the floor exercise with a 9.425, tied for tenth on the vault with a 9.450 and tied for 22nd on the uneven parallel bars with an 8.675.

Jesse Ganrude came up with the only other top ten finish for the Warriors, tying for eight on the beam with a 9.250.

Next up for the Warriors is the National Gymnastics Coaches Association National Championships.
