Warriors Tripped By UW-La Crosse

LA CROSSE, WI - Winona State University lost its first meet of the season when the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse handed the Warriors a 184.375-182.000 setback in Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action at Mitchell Hall.
The Warriors came into the meet after winning its first two meets of the season.
Junior, Alexandra Nugent led the Warriors' best team score of the season by winning the all-around with a 37.200. That was accompanied by a first in the floor exercise (9.625) and a second on the vault with a 9.475.
The Warriors also got an outstanding effort on the balance beam where teammates Amanda Cotter and Melissa Baudhuin tied for first with 9.375 scores.
Rounding out the top three performances for WSU was Cotter with a second on the uneven parallel bars (9.425).
