Warriors Post Season Best Score At Gershon

LA CROSSE, WI -- Winona State University posted its season best score in placing second at the Gershon/McLellan Invitational held at Mitchell Hall.
The Warriors came up with an 183.625 to trail the winning team from the University of La Crosse by 1.8 points.
Several career and single-season highs were recorded by the Warriors, led by freshman Melissa Baudhuin. Baudhuin placed first on the vault with a career-best 9.600, finished second on the balance beam with a career-high 9.675 and tied her career best on the floor exercise when she placed third with a 9.350.
Junior, Alexandra Nugent also had a solid met, winning the floor exercise with a 9.425, after coming in second with a season-high 9.525 on the vault. Overall Nugent went on to place third in the all-around with a 36.950.
The Warriors also got a couple of outstanding performances from freshmen Amanda Cotter and Katie Gregory. Cotter was second on he uneven parallel bars with a 9.350 and Gregory set a career best on the beam with a third-place 9.650 score.
