Warriors Vault To Victory

WINONA, MN -- Winona State University swept the top three places in the vault and went on to defeat Hamline University 178.300-174.050 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference season finale at McCown Gymnasium.
Alexandra Nugent led the WSU charge by winning the vault with a 9.350. Katie Goldeman was second with 9.200 and Melissa Baudhuin tied for third with a 9.175.
The Warriors also got a first out of Amanda Cotter, who won the uneven parallel bars with a 9.125. Cotter tied for second on the balance beam with teammate Eileen Strube with a 9.250.
Coming up with the other first place for the Warriors was Baudhuin on the floor exercise with a 9.300
Nugent completed her regular season with a second-place all-around score of 35.125 and Melissa Vodvarka tied for third on the bars with an 8.750.
Next up for the Warriors is the WIAC/NCGA West Regional March 8th at Hamline University in St. Paul, MN.
