Warriors Come Up With Three All-Americans

CORTLAND, NY -- Alexandrea Nugent earned All-America honors and Winona State University finished with three All-Americans after completition of the second day to the National Collegiate Gymnastics Association National Championship.
Nugent, who earned All-America honors in the all-around on the first day of the meet, captured first team honors by with a third-place on the vault (9.650) and a third place on the balance beam (9.675). Nugent added a second team All-American effort with an 11th-place finish on the floor exercise (9.150).
The Warriors, who had three competitors on the balance beam, also got a first team All-American effort from Melissa Baudhuin, who tied for fifth with a 9.625, and Eileen Strube, who earned All-American honors last year on the beam, followed up her second year of competition at the nationals by placing eighth on the beam with a second team All-American score of 9.550.
