Smith Preseason Player Of The Year Pick

BEAVERTON, OR -- Winona State University's, senior, center, John Smith has been tabbed NCAA
Division II Bulletin Preseason Player of the Year.
Smith, who has been an integral part to Winona State's NCAA Division II 2005-06 national championship and 2006-2007 national runnerup position, was the Division II Bulletin Player of he Year for the 2006-07 season and receive the same honor by a number of other organizations.
Smith was a consensus All-American last year and is joined by Jonte Flowers, who also earned All-America honors a year ago.
The Warriors went 35-1 a year ago and during the past two seasons put together a NCAA Division II national record 57-game winning streak before losingin the final second of the national championship game.
