WSU Runs NSIC Streak To 35 Conseuctive Wins

WINONA, MN -- No. 5-ranked Winona State University ran its Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference winning streak to 35 games with an 80-46 win over Wayne State College, NE in McCown Gymnasium.
The Warriors gave up the first five points of the game but then ran off 12 unanswered points and never looked back again.
WSU went on to take a 46-24 lead by halftime and then gave up only two points in the first ten minutes of the second half and only 20 more points in the final ten minutes to run its current win streak to ten games.
For the fourth straight game the Warriors had five players finish in double figures. David Johnson led the starters with 15 and John Smith and Jonte Flowers netted 12 and 11 respectively. Curtrel Robinson and Josh Korth came off the bench to round out the double-figure scoring with 13 each.
Flowers also had a double-double with 10 rebounds and added one assist and three blocked shots and steals each.
WSU held the edge on the boards 44-31 and held the Wildcats to just three three-point field goals in seven attempts.
