WSU Overpowers Concordia St. Paul

ST. PAUL, MN -- No. 4-ranked Winona State University held Concordia University St. Paul to under 30 points in each half of play and rolled to a 93-55 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference win at the Ganglehoff Center.

The win extended the Warriors' NSIC winning streak to 37 games and season win streak to 12 games.

The Warriors countered by holding a 43-28 lead at the halftime break and then outscored the Golden Bears 50-27 in the final 20 minutes of play.

John Smith led the Warriors with 29 points, 21 coming in the first half and nine coming from his three-for-three effort from the three-point field goal range. Brent Riese came off the bench to score 10 points, as 11 of the 12 Warriors to get into the game scored and 11 of 12 also grabbed a rebound.

WSU held a 32-27 edge on the boards and forced CSP into 24 turnovers, 13 coming on WSU steals.
