WSU No. 1 In First Regional Ranking

INDIANAPOLIS, IN -- The NCAA Division II Men's Basketball Committee came out with its first regional rankings of the season and Winona State University is ranked No. 1 in the North Central Region.

The Warriors are 18-0 against Division II foes and 14-0 against Division II in-region foes.

The regional rankings is the only rankings that is used to determine teams for regional competition in the Division II national tournament. The top eight ranked teams in the region advance on to the regional tournament.

Tournament winners from the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference, North Central Conference and the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference are automatic selections to the region tournament and the five remaining berths are at-large berths.
