WSU To Host University Of Mary In Tournament

ST. PAUL, MN -- Winona State University will open defense of its Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Tournament championship by hosting the University of Mary, ND in an 8:00 p.m. game, Saturday, March 1.
The Warriors, who went through the NSIC regular-season unbeaten in 18 games and has not lost a NSIC regular-season game in 48 outings, is the No. 1 Seed, while Mary is the No. 8 Seed.
The other game in the Warriors' half of the bracket will feature No. 5 Seed Wayne State College, NE at No. 4 Seed Concordia University St. Paul, March 1 in St. Paul MN.
In the lower portion of bracket, No. 7 Seed Minnesota State University Moorhead will travel to Aberdeen, SD to face No. 2 Seed Northern State University in a 7:00 p.m. contest, while No. 6 Seed Upper Iowa University will head to Marshall, MN to tangle with No. 3 Seed Southwest Minnesota State University in another 7:00 p.m. game.
The four winning teams will then advance to semifinal play March 7 at the site of the highest remaining seed.
The championship will be held on March 8 and the winner will receive an automatic berth in the NCAA Division II Central Region Tournament March 15-16 and 18.
