Warriors Reap League Awards

ST. PAUL, MN -- The success of the Winona State University program continues to be recognized as the Warriors reaped a harvest of Norther Sun Intercollegiate Conference honors.

Heading the list are seniors John Smith, Jonte Flowers and Quincy Henderson. All three were named to the All-Conference squad with Smith and Flowers taking first team honors and Henderson being named to the third team.

For the second straight year Smith was honored as the NSIC Player of the Year, while Flowers completed a sweep of the NSIC Defensive Player of the Year, being named for a fourth consecutive season.

Head coach Mike Leaf, who guided the Warriors to a second straight undefeated league season was tabbed the NSIC Coach of the Year for a fourth straight year.
