Warriors Hold At No. 1 Regional Ranking

INDIANAPOLIS, IN -- The NCAA Division II Men's Basketball Committee came out with its regional rankings and Winona State University held on to its No. 1 ranking.

The Warriors are 25-0 against Division II foes and 21-0 against Division II in-region foes.

The regional rankings is the only rankings that is used to determine teams for regional competition in the Division II national tournament. The top eight ranked teams in the region advance on to the regional tournament.

Tournament winners from the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference, North Central Conference and the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference are automatic selections to the region tournament and the five remaining berths are at-large berths.

The final regional rankings will be announced, Sunday, March 9 via broadband broadcast at www.NCAA.com at 9:30 a.m. central standard time.
